cupcakes,cookies and stress oh my....

This week has been so crazy. I'm taking some time tonight to relax and write. Where do I begin. School is kind of kicking my butt right now. I love what i'm studying, but this semester has been quite a blur. Just this week alone i have 3 major writing assignments and 3 exams, that all need to be finished before Sat. Not to mention I was asked at the beginning of the school year if I would be in charge of an event that the PTA does for Savannah's school. Twice a month they sell cupcakes and other little sweets, but mainly cupcakes, its known as cupcake Friday. So earlier in the week a teacher from Sav's school reminded me that i signed up to make 5 dozen cupcakes and 2 dozen cookies. Which sounds totally do-able(is that a word..lol) but smashed between everything else it was a little hectic. I loved how they turned out though.

Porter's officially walking!!! yea!! Not just that he is walking, HE IS CLIMBING!!!! he figured out how to climb onto Savannah's bed;onto the couch;onto the ottoman....he's everywhere, and when he gets up he gets this mischievous little smile and is so proud of himself. He's so cute! Savannah's teacher started a method of discipline that i think we are going to carry home. When she is caught doing something good she receives a smiley face on her chart for that day, and if she is caught misbehaving (like today when she decided to climb on the table during pretend play time) she gets a frown face. Well we are not doing that exact form, we are going to get a pretty jar and keep it on top of her dresser and every time she's caught doing something great, she can put a marble in and when she's caught doing something not so great, she will take a marble out. Then me and Rob will come up with some sort of reward system.
She has how-and-tell tomorrow and she had to bring something that starts with the letter "m". So she chose to bring her Mulan doll. Last show-and-tell didn't go so hot. She had to bring something with the letter "S" and so she brought her snow globe. Well when i went to pick her up her teacher is holding her backpack, and i know this can't be good. He teacher said that her snow globe shattered in her backpack. SO needless to say her first show-and-tell didn't go so great. She's becoming so great at recognizing letters and sight words...today she sounded out "family" all by herself.
Its so cute when she leaves for school, me and Porter walk her into her school , then she gives us hugs and kisses and walks to her classroom. I'm cherishing that because i know it won't be long before kissing and hugging mom in the front of your school won't be "cool" anymore. Anyway when we go pick her up, she sits in the back next to Porter and holds his hand and tells him about her day, and kisses his hand. Then about 1 min later Porter is asleep. I really hope they are always this close. Maybe they'll be like me and Merrill.
