*Spoiler alert* (well for some)

So today we only had Christmas Sunday so we only had church until 11am. So we've been busy putting finishing touches on our presents, and wrapping the last bunch of gifts. I wanted to share what Savannah made for Rob, my Dad, and Uncle Merrill.

Lady Bug Tie Tack

CRAFT MATERIALS:
	Red and black Sculpey III clay
	Tie tack backing (sold at most craft stores)
Time needed: Under 1 Hour

1. To make a tack, roll a lima bean-size piece of red Sculpey III clay into a round ladybug body and press it securely onto the flat surface of the tie tack backing.
2. From a lentil-size piece of black Sculpey III clay, shape a head and press it onto the body. Use a thin log of black clay to create a centerline on the bug's body and rounded bits of black clay to make spots.
3. Bake the decorated tack (a parent's job) according to the directions on the clay package, let cool, and the tack is ready to wear.

In the spirit of cookie making, I found this awesome cookie recipe on "The Picky Palate" blog. Rob needed me to whip up some cookies tonight for his home-teaching families, so I thought these were different and fun!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cookies

2 sticks softened butter

¾ Cup brown sugar

¾ Cup sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 ¾ Cup flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

¾ teaspoon salt

1 Cup semi sweet chocolate chips

2 6 oz boxes Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a stand or electric mixer, cream the butter and sugars until well combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla until well mixed. In a separate bowl sift the flour, baking soda and salt. Slowly add to wet ingredients along with the chocolate chips and cookie dough bites until just combined.

2. With a cookie scoop, scoop onto a parchment or silpat lined baking sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until cooked to your liking. I usually take mine out right at 9 minutes for a softer cookie. Let cool on baking sheet for 3-5 minutes then transfer to a cooling rack.

One reason I love Oklahoma

One reason I love Oklahoma, is everywhere you go, no one is afraid to wish you a Merry Christmas. I love this. Savannah even gets to celebrate Christmas at school. They had such a fun time yesterday. They were instructed to wear their pajamas to school for an imaginary ride to the North Pole. So they had their trip to the North Pole and read Polar Express, made sleigh bells, and drank hot chocolate. Savannah had a blast! They even made a golden angel for the top of our tree.

So many things to blog so little time...
Last weekend Rob got a sitter and had planned a cute date. We went to my favorite little Italian place and thats all he told me...the rest was supposed to be a surprise. So we drove a town over and we drove into a huge drive-thru Christmas light display. It goes for a couple miles, but as we went through the entrance,Rob pulled over and parked in a side parking lot. We went into the entrance and there were horse drawn carriages you could use instead of your car. So we went through the beautiful light in this awesome white carriage. It was so wonderful, and we had a great time. Thank You Robbie!
On Saturday we went to Rob's work children's Christmas Party. It was a ton of fun, and the kids got to sit with Santa. They had balloon animals, toy raffles, and lots of games.
This past week we took Porter to the pediatrician to have his ears re-checked and one of his tubes is clogged. Apparently this is common.
Although its a little piece of information i would've liked to know ahead of time, but anyway they gave him some ear drops to hep clear it out. He's acting fine so I guess its not bothering him too bad. He is such a trooper! He's such a sweet, loving little boy. I am so grateful to be his mommy.

I've been trying to find something cute to make for somefriends and Savannah's teachers at school and I think I found it. Its a felt advent calendar. I think its super cute. Here's the Pattern.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I think it depends on the angle of which you are looking. ;) Well if you are laying on the bed, I am on the right side, if you are at the foot of the bed, looking toward the head, Rob’s on the right side!

Who cooks dinner? Definitely me
Who drives? He does, when he’s with me
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Usually Rob, but it depends on what we’re wrong about. I have a hard time not talking about my feelings.

Who wears the pants? I don’t know, we try to agree on most things…so neither really..thats the problem with two type b personalities marrying
What is one of the best things that he does that you love? Where do I begin… I love how sexy he looks doing the dishes…and he does them often. He always gets up with the little ones, and has some daddy time and I can have an extra couple more minutes of sleep. He always makes me feel so beautiful when I feel not so beautiful. I love that he wants a thousand children, and leaves it up to me. He’s unbelievably patient and romantic!

I am a blessed woman!

• My family- No matter what we're doing my family makes it so much fun. They always make us feel so warm and welcomed. Especially my Dad...we've always shared this amazing relationship and I hope he always remembers how important he is to us.
  
• Robs family (which I consider my own as well)- They are rich in tradition, and I'm so grateful for how hard Cricket(my MIL) works to cook and teach me new things. I know this year was hard on her physically, and I really appreciate all she does.
• Gas prices...we filled our Scion up for $13.00....YAHOOOO
• My sweet adorable husband, his job, and his desire to support us.
• Snowflakes- It started to snow a little in Branson while we were there, ad me and Savannah went outside and watched it fall...I love that girl, and the memories we create together.
• Thanksgiving dinner... it comes and goes so fast..yum yum. But also reminds us of how truly blessed we really are.
• Christmas music- I love love love it!
  
• Being a member of this Gospel... I am so grateful to be a part of this beautiful gospel and the peace of mind it brings...the answers i find, and the knowledge that no matter what happens my family is sealed together forever.
  
• The power of prayer- I love the fact that I can end my day by pouring my heart out to my Father in Heaven. I know that he listens and answers my prayers, how could I ever deny that i have witnessed his hand in my life. He has always answered my prayers, there is evidence of that in every aspect of my life.
  

We had a great Thanksgiving. We drove up to Illinois to be with Robs family for Thanksgiving. We stopped half way at my parents for the night then drove to Columbia. Thanksgiving day was so great Cricket made some delicious food, and Savannah enjoyed playing with her cousin Madeleine. It was so nice to see them getting along. They are at the perfect age to really start playing together and it was so much fun to watch them. Me and Amanda had planned to do some crazy Black Friday shopping, until we were awakened by Savannah throwing up. SHe was so sick to her stomach. The poor little thing was completely out of it that whole day. I'm so grateful we were all healthy on Thanksgiving day at least. The next afternoon we decided to drive down to my parents to divide the trip up again. We drove there and spent some time with my family and did some awesome shopping. Anyway, we made it back and are all doing well, and back to normal!
