I just wanted to take a minute and tell my Savannah how great I think she is. I was so young when I had her, and never imagined how different my life would be with her in it. I went to register her for kindergarten today, I got a little teary eyed on my way home. I just thought back about how incredibly fast the last 5 years have flown by. She has changed and grown so much, and I am so proud of her. I was cleaning out the computer desk today and going through old cds and cam across Savannah's 2nd birthday pictures! Porter will be celebrating his 2nd birthday next month (don't even get me started on that one) and so I popped the cd in and ...oh my heavens! Savannah looks a lot like Porter. I can catch glimpses of similarities, but I had no idea how similar they are. I know the grandparents will love these!

Not too much to report. Just wanted to keep things updated. I have exactly 1 more homework assignment and 3 quizzes left in these crazy classes and I will be done for this semester! Yahoo! We have had an amazing summer, both kiddos are old enough to do fun things everyday, and I'm sad that Savannah will start school in 3 weeks! What in the world will I do without her all day?! Well, we won't think about that right now. We went to our sprinkler park today, and it has been in the 100's here forever (well, it seems like forever when its that hot) but today was an exception it was a really nice day. Tonight was such a great Family Home evening. Savannah wanted to give the lesson, so we were excited to let her do that. She made some little picture sticks in Primary yesterday so she taught us about the First Vision, and I was amazed by everything she knows...the kid is such a sponge. After that she threw a "dance party" we all put on silly clothes and danced danced !! It was so much fun. I have some pretty cool kiddos!! I love you babies! Thanks for letting me be your mommy!

Happy Birthday Robbie!!

My Rob turned 32 today. I know I've bragged about my Rob before, but today is his birthday so whats one more time? In October it will be 7 years since our first date. I knew from that first date that there was something different about him and boy was I right. We've been through crazy times together, and marrying him was hands down the best decision I've ever made. I'm so glad Porter has Robbie to teach him how to be an amazing father and husband. I love how he comes home for lunch everyday, and is so happy. He really knows me and accepts me despite my flaws. He makes me feels so loved and appreciated. I love the fact that he feels like his main goal in life is to be a good father and husband...and he really is. I love his crazy sense of humor, and how much he treats and loves my family as his own. He is always trying to be better or improve himself. Happy Birthday Robbie!! I love you more than you will ever realize! You are everything to me...thanks for all you do and I hope you enjoy your day!

Trip to Illinois
We drove from Branson to C-town Illinois to see Rob's family. The ride there wasn't fabulous, our poor Porter hated being in the car and let us know it! Once we were there, it was so great to be there. Being in Illinois and seeing so many familiar places and being with our family just felt like home. On Wednesday we went to the Butterfly house in Faust Park. I LOVE this place, and love to watch the kids reaction. When you walk in , you can see some insects, and spiders. We then walk through two sets of doors and into a gigantic green house type dome just filled with trees, waterfalls and butterflies EVERYWHERE! They fly all around you and land on you. It is beautiful. On Thursday we went to the St. Louis Zoo. Which is the best zoo I've ever been to... or maybe its just filled with great memories. It was fun to see Porter go through their penguin house, since he's older this time, he absolutely loved it! Its Savannah's favorite part too. This time they also got to pet stingrays. There was a stingray exhibit where the kids actually got to pet the stingrays. After the zoo we ate lunch at Fitz's! Its one of my favorite places downtown. Me and Merrill used to go there a lot. Its fun because its a soda bottleing company too, so the kids can see the soda being made. That night we ate diner at Rob's sisters house, it was so much fun for everyone to be together. All in all a very good time.

Swimming and Chinese Acrobats
We had such a fun day. We Rob and my dad went to see Transformers while Porter was napping this afternoon, and I was glad to be off the hook with seeing that movie. I can only take so much "let's-blow-something-up-and-see-how-much-cleavage-we-can-show-in-two-hours" When Porter woke up we all went to this amazing pool they have for the locals. Its has this huge children's pool that is super shallow on one side and the only gets up to about 2 feet. Within the pool there's floating animals and slides. There's also a sprinkler area near the pool. We grabbed some dinner ,then me, Savannah,my mom, Briahna, and Merrill all were going to see Peter Pan but they didn't have a showing tonight so we went to the New Shanghai Circus with the Chinese Acrobats. It was truly amazing! I've never seen anyone so talented! It was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. What was even greater was watching Savannah's face. Her mouth was open the entire time! She loved it! Afterward she got to meet the performers and got a picture with her favorite. Tomorrow we're off to St. Louis!

Happy 4th of July

We drove down to Branson on Thursday and Rob decided to take some leave so we could stay longer and drive up to Illinois and visit our family there as well. Well on Friday Merrill took Savannah out for the day and they hit the Disney store and got some lunch, then met back up with my dad, Rob and Porter and Rob was able to get his tacos al pastor, which is a tradition for him. There's a little taqueria that a member of my parents ward owns and Rob loves to go in there and chat, and eat the tacos al pastor, its one of his favorites and we can only really find it there. Meanwhile me and my mom went and hit the outlets. Its pretty rare that me and my mom do anythig, so it was pretty cool. We found some cute school clothes for Savannah. We then ate lunch at Jimmy Johns, they just built one down here and I haven't had it since we lived in Illinois. YUM! We all met back up at the house and played around until evenig time and Merrill and Briahna came with us down to the Table Rock Lake dam. We grabbed some blankets and drinks and played at the park until sundown and watched the fireworks. It was really nice. I love the scenery here, its so peaceful. I'm so mad that these pictures turned out blurry!
