Count your many blessings....

So my friend Lori gets on her blog and lists every week what she's grateful for...Isn't that great? It got me thinking (I don't know if I have the energy to do it every week ) but I need to be better about listing the MANY countless blessing we have. Here's a couple:
1. Mornings....as much as I've never been a morning person, I love waking up to my children's happy faces. Savannah is always so happy in the morning, and greets me with a huge smile and big hug and kiss. We normally hear Porter on the monitor when he gets up, so me and Sav will go in there and he will be standing up in his crib waiting for us...So sweet.
2. The sun... though sometimes it gets a little too warm, its always so nice to be able to go outside and play with the kids or go to the pool, or take a walk.
3. Chocolate...no explanation needed.
4. My cell phone...it makes talking to the ones I love so convenient.
5. The way the kids smell right after bath time.... I love when the kids get out of the bath and they're all snug in their pjs and we all cuddle up for story time...I love the way they smell, especially Porter's little head, he still has the new baby smell...
6. lds.org...I was called to speak in sacrament meeting kind of at the last minute and was able to find so many amazing articles and resources on that website!
7. My dishwasher...(Yes Lori I defiantly agree) It saves me so much time, and I believe its so much more sanitary.
8. My XB...Yes some call it the toaster but at 36 miles to the gallon we were blessed to not really be effected by the gas crisis.
9. Good health...My sweet Robbie has been fighting a nasty cold since he got back from Alabama and I'm grateful no one else has been sick.
10. My camera..it may not be the greatest but it captures those amazing moments!!

What's all the hype?

So for months I have been hearing from friends and Young Women at church all about the "Twilight Saga" books. So finally I decided I would see what all of the hype was. So I found a cheap copy of the first book on ebay so i figured if i didn't like it, it wasn't a huge investment. So I started reading it, and I loved it....ok let's be honest I'm a little obsessed. It was such a good book, I read the whole thing in three days. I was so pleasantly surprised. I was even happier to find out they are making the first book into a movie coming to theaters in Dec. I'm very excited, I've already ordered the second book and am anxiously awaiting its arrival.

Sprinkler Park

So we discovered the cutest park in Midwest City. We call it the sprinkler park, i'm sure it has a technical name, but to us its the sprinkler park. It is this park that on one side it has a huge circle of concrete with different shapes with sprinklers on them (or coming out of them), the kids had a blast. Even Porter loved the little sprinklers coming out of the ground (You couldn't tell by the picture, he was ready to go home by then) but he had a great time! I love finding little treasures like this!

Redhawks Game

So we went to the Redhawks Game on Wednesday. Rob's squadron had a squadron day at the ballpark. It was really fun. We discovered Porter's not a huge fan of the heat, needless to say we didn't stay for the whole game. Savannah loved it though! I can't wait to take her to a Cardinals game.

Lovin the Scentsy!

So my friend Nichole is selling Scentsy products. I was a little skeptical but I LOVE THEM! It's a wickless burning system. Right now we are burning the "French Kiss" scent.....anyway, it smells so good and lasts sooooooo long. we also got the "Home Sweet Home" scent which is great too! Thanks Nichole!

Trip to the ENT

So Porter visited the Ear/Nose/Throat Spec today. It went really well. I was nervous because he went to his Pediatrician today and they told him that his ears still weren't clear but prescribed him an antibiotic that we know works for him. Then later in the afternoon it was time to see the ENT. He was so great with Porter. He did a pressure test on his ears and said there was defiantly A LOT of fluid build-up in his ears, which really didn't surprise me. Then he examined Porter and went over his history, and decided he was a good candidate for tubes. So he will be going to for them on August 7th. He agreed with the Pediatrician to go ahead and give him this antibiotic and clear up the current ear infection and hopefully they will stay clear long enough for the surgery!

4th of July Weekend

So we had a great fourth of July weekend. This is important because me and Rob started to think that this holiday was cursed for us. We have never seen fireworks together since we've met....for whatever reason, this holiday has never been fun for us. Well this year went very smoothly. We had some families over and we grilled. Then we went to see the fireworks down in Moore. It was a blast, and the kids really enjoyed it. A friend of our heard that Porter wasn't excited about the idea of walking so she brought over this lion that he can push across the floor. Here are some pictures from our weekend.
