Kelly Family Christmas

We drove up to see Rob's family for Christmas and had a great time. We took a fun trip to the Science center and Savannah had a blast. She loves science and it was right up her alley. Porter was not as big of a fan, but loved the dinosaurs. Then we tried an awesome greek restaurant next to Wash U named Olympia's. It was so GOOD. The next day Rob's brother and family came down. I was pretty sick (which is very rare) on Christmas Eve,and spent most of it sleeping. On Christmas morning I was feeling better and got to watch the kiddos enjoy opening presents and watch them go sledding for the first time. They were in heaven out there in the snow. Porter preferred throwing snowballs. It was a fun time for all.

Santa
Christmas vacation pt.1
I'm trying to update while everything is still fresh in my mind. Today Rob and my Dad took the kiddos to Michaels to buy supplies to make ornaments, then I finished up my Christmas shopping and we met up at Branson cafe. Its this little cafe downtown in the historic area of Branson. Its been around since 1910 and my Dad actually remembered coming there with his parents as a kid. The food was yummy and it was nice to have my whole family together. After we ate we hopped on a trolley and took a ride around downtown. We will hopefully find a place to take the kiddos to see Santa tonight. Then in the morning we are off to Columbia to see Rob's family.
Baby Love

We drove down on Saturday to see my family in Branson. As soon as we got there my brother and sister-in-law came on over and brought my adorable nephew!! He is the cutest little guy!! He has these adorable cheeks that you just want to eat up! He still has that amazing baby smell and the funniest little giggle. I'm in love! Look at this face:

I absolutely LOVE this time of year! I love everything about it. This week we are baking like crazy, for neighbors, teachers, and friends. When I was growing up my moms best friend's mom (did you follow that? ) made these sugar cookies that we would dream about! They are so unbelievably light and fluffy! They are amazing!!I thought in the spirit of the season we would share this coveted recipe!
