So last Wednesday I turned 25!! I had such an amazing week. On Friday my friends took me out to Cheesecake Factory, it was so yummy. It was so nice to get out and enjoy their company. Then my brother and sister-in-law came in late Friday night and we stayed up so late talking an laughing. Then Saturday we all went out to dinner for my birthday it was yet another excellent meal. It was this great Mexican place a couple miles from here. They left on Sunday, and we were sad to see them go. It was a short visit, but so much fun. Rob had this whole week off and Savannah was out of school for spring break, so it was so much fun to have them here, and the weather has been so beautiful and warm. Then on Wednesday I was awakened by breakfast in bed. Rob and the kiddos made waffles with fresh strawberries, my favorite. Then we went to playgroup so the kids could run out some energy. That afternoon the Young Women had a Asian cooking lesson. It went over really well and we got to try some really good food. But before we left, the girls brought out and ice cream cake and sang happy birthday, it was very sweet. I came home and Rob had a babysitter arranged and we went out shopping, and then came home and Rob made dinner and we had some friends over. What a good Birthday!

Savannah lost her tooth last week. Its been wiggly for a while and her adult tooth was starting to come through, so she was eating some popcorn and she came over to tell me something, and her tooth was gone. I told her that she lost her tooth and she was SO excited then that excitement was followed by tears because she couldn't find her tooth. We looked everywhere, but couldn't find it so my guess is she thought it was a kernel and threw it or swallowed it by accident. But she ended up leaving a note for the tooth fairy and still woke up with a gift from the tooth fairy.

"Big Love"

So I just wanted to write a quick note about the upcoming airing of our sacred practices on the HBO show "Big Love", the show decided to show their supposed "non-mormon", "fictional" polygamists couple going through the temple in one of our ceremonies performed in the temple. Our church has always taught that these practices are not SECRET but are very SACRED, and should only be part of a LDS member's spiritual journey. It requires years of study and preparation to comprehend and acknowledge the special work done in the temple. This is not the first time that this has happened to our church, nor will it be the last.
If you are really that curious please take the time to find correct and accurate sources:

Today was such a gorgeous day, I mean really nice. It got up to 80 today and so sunny! We opened all of the windows and found every excuse to go outside. We could definitely use some more of those around here. It would probably make Oklahoma more bearable. It was also exciting that Porter actually sat in his stroller while we walked to the park, which was very nice. He is such a sweet ACTIVE little guy. He's become so much more vocal, I don't always understand what he's saying, but at least we're getting there. He wore shorts today and I just love his short chubby little legs ( don't know where he got those ;) He is such an affectionate little guy, he always giving hugs and kisses and HAS to be with his sister (a.k.a partner in crime).
We were walking through Target and I was wearing these super comfy form fitting, foamish Birkenstock flip flops I bought the end of last summer, but I didn't get the chance to wear them until today, so with the sunny weather of corse I pulled them out. Well I noticed, once we were in the very crowded store that when I walked my feet made a little suction in the sandal, and made a lovely flatulent noise with every step......who are we kidding it sounded just like I was crop dusting across the store. To make it worse, Savannah soon noticed and was laughing with each step.

Merrill's Wedding Weekend
Thats right, our little Merrill is a married man. On Wednesday we drove to my parents to try and break up the drive to St. Louis. The kids did really well, probably better than Mommy( I don't handle being in the car for long periods of time very well). Then on Thursday my dad rented a big van so we could all ride together, and it was so much fun. The kids just loved the van. Rob drove since my dad worked Wed night, and so I sat in the back with my dad and entertained the kiddos. We made it with just enough time to drop the kids at Robs parents place so we could be with Briahna as she entered the temple for the first time. It was so amazing to have my entire family in the temple together. Then on Friday morning we were able to see Merrill and Briahna be sealed in the St. Louis temple. Aftr their ceremony we changed in to our formals for pictures, and it was so cold outside, we froze! My dad held a luncheon that afternoon at Gianfabio's in Chesterfield, and it was so nice. We drove straight into Branson that night. The next day I was able to meet up with Terica, Michelle and Gloria, and do some shopping at the outlets there in Branson. It was so much fun to see them. Well as we were shopping, it started to snow pretty hard. Merrill then called me and said that he and Briahna had been stuck in Rolla for hours because of the roads. Well their reception started at 7 and Merrill and Briahna were able to drive into Branson at 6:30...crazy huh? But they made it and the reception was amazing! Briahna's family did an amazing job of transforming the chapel gym into a gorgeous tent . We all visited and danced most of the night. The kids had such a fun time, they had a childs room with babysitters on standby so Porter and Savannah stayed there for the first half of the night, then they came in and danced their hearts out! It was hilarious. Anyway, I'm so happy for Merrill and Bri...we love you guys and am so glad we were there so share in the fun!
