My two older babies started school in August. Savannah started the third grade and Porter started kindergarten. The school is down the hill across the street so they were excited to be able to walk to school together. I walk to the end of our driveway and watch them walk to school. The mornings here are really crisp, so I'm grateful we live so close. I miss having them home suring the day but I love the individual time I get with Cora.

Happy Birthday Po Man!!
My sweet little boy turned five!!! My in-laws came to visit that week, which was so great! I wanted to make it special for my Porter, so we made all of his favorite foods and invited some of the neighbor kids to come play. He requested dirt cake for his birthday treat and really wanted Ikea meatballs for dinner. Well since Ikea is no where to be found...I did some searching and found this recipe:
Almost Famous Swedish Meatballs
I love you so much Porter and am so proud to be your Mom.

This past week...
We spent this past week with our families. Rob will be starting instructor training soon so we decided to drive to St. Louis and Branson and spend some time with our families. My Dad is going to be deploying soon and my Mom had surgery on Tuesday to removed a tumor on her thyroid and they will be testing it to see if they need to go back in to remove her thyroids or not. My Dad was only able to come down to Branson until right after my Mom's surgery so I was really glad we were there to help her out post-op. My brother and his family were also down the whole week so we were able to have tons of quality time with them.
Savannah's Baptism
I recently had one of the most amazing days of my life. How many lucky people can say they got to celebrate their birthday and witness their daughter get baptized on the same day. It was beyond anything I would've imagined. Its hard for me to describe what that day felt like. We were blessed that both my family and Rob's family attended and participated. Rob's sister Amanda gave a beautiful opening prayer. My mom lead the music and my brother gave the talk on baptism. Then I walked Savannah up to the baptismal font and helped her change into her jumpsuit. She was giddy with excitement and nervousness. We opened the little door in the bathroom that connected to the font and saw Rob waiting there in the font with his hand stretched out to help Savannah into the water. He then baptized our sweet Savannah. After I helped her dry off and change back into her white dress, my sister-in-law gave the talk about the Holy Ghost. Merrill and Briahna then sang a beautiful duet. My Dad then gave Savannah the gift of the Holy Ghost and I gave the closing prayer. I am so very proud of the choice Savannah made to be baptized.
