Erin's Cookie's

My friend Erin just moved to Salt Lake City and was at a bakery with her sister and discovered the best cookie ever. I didn't believe it but we thought we'd give it a try, because I know my friend Erin (we met in FL) is a great cook. So she got to baking and figured out the recipe then I got it from her. So we made them tonight, and they were SO GOOD!! So I thought I would share. Enjoy!
Erin's Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 sticks unsalted butter
1cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup molasses(unsulphured)
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 cups extra dark chocolate candy bar cut into chunks( I used dark chocolate chips)
1tbsp orange extract
1 1/2 tbsp grated orange peel
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In bowl, cream butter and sugars until well-blended and fluffy. Add eggs, and mix until well-incorporated, then add extract, molasses, and peel. Then add flour, salt, and baking soda and mix until just combined. Gently fold in chocolate. Place on prepared sheet pan and bake until VERY lightly browned (it doesn't taste as good well done).
Hope you like them as much as we did, they definatly kept my childbearing hips in check!

I'm glad you liked them. They have not been good for my squishy belly.
