With Valentines Day coming we wanted to share a YUMMY recipe the me and the kiddos are making for Rob for tomorrow. Now with this recipe you can use ANY combination that you wish. We are using chocolate cake mix and Nutella instead of frosting, its really easy and super fun to make.
Cake Bites
- 1 package chocolate cake mix
- 1 container prepared chocolate frosting
- 1 bar chocolate flavored confectioners coating or melted chocolate of your choice
- Prepare the cake mix according to package directions using any of the recommended pan sizes. When cake is done ( and cooled), crumble into a large bowl, and stir in the frosting until well blended.(just use enough frosting to act as a binder, so use until you can shape into balls)
- Melt chocolate coating in a glass bowl in the microwave, or in a metal bowl over a pan of simmering water, stirring occasionally until smooth.
- Use a melon baller or small scoop to form balls of the chocolate cake mixture. Dip the balls in chocolate using a toothpick or fork to hold them. Place on waxed paper to set.
